The Kano State Film and Moral Censorship has confirmed that it raided the studio of political musician Idris Danzaki and stole his equipment.
The public relations officer of the agency, Abdullahi Lawan Sulaiman, told journalists in Kano that the agency took the action after the singer ignored her invitation to appear in her offices.
He said that since Saturday, the Commission has asked the singer to appear in its offices, but until the time we bring you this news, he has not responded to the invitation.
“The current state of affairs is that the Film Censorship Board has closed the studio of the singer Son of Lion We used the phone and called this musician Idris son of Lion and asked him to come to this agency.
However, instead of bringing himself, he sent his lawyer who came to ask for an explanation if the agency is really looking for the singer.
“Even though we understand that he took the matter lightly, the chairman of the board, Abba Almustapha, asked for the singer to be invited again, but so far he has not responded to this invitation,” said the official.
Abdullahi Lawan added that this caused the Commission to lock the studio and take away his tools.
However, when Aminiya contacted the singer, he assured her that the agency had invited him but sent his lawyer to represent him.
After they called me on the phone and said they were inviting her, I sent my lawyer to the agency to represent me.
“But what will happen when I get a call saying that the agency has closed my studio and taken away some of my work tools.
” The singer claimed that the Commission did not inform him of the crime it accused him of committing.
Although the commission did not reveal the reason for inviting the singer, reports indicate that he is accused of making bad comments to the leader of the Kwankwasiyya sect, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in a song he made recently.
