Neighbors arrested someone who attempted to rape an 85-year-old woman. The 56-year-old man was killed when he was trying to win the old woman’s power in Uhronigbe area in Edo state. The old woman complained to the police station after the neighbors took her home when the man broke into her room and stripped, trying to violate her privacy.
The state police introduced the man to the journalists along with a 29-year-old man accused of raping an 18-year-old girl in Ehor village. Aminiya hausa newspaper reported. The spokesperson of the state police, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, said that the case was brought against the young man that he raped the young woman after he tricked her in the name of going to catch the dragon, he violently assaulted her and raped her. The officer said that she was taken to the hospital for a check-up. He said the two suspects have confessed to the crime but will be charged in court.
