An Islamic law court sitting in the Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested one Abbas Sadiq on the charge of breaking his girlfriend’s hand because she called a guy on the phone.

Daily Nigerian Hausa newspaper reported.
The police told the court that the young woman reported that her boyfriend, who was dating them, beat her deliberately until he broke her arm because she was on the phone with another man.
When the charges against him were read, he pleaded guilty.
The judge of the court, Khadi, Sani Tanimu Sani Hausawa, ordered that he be detained in prison and adjourned the hearing of the case to August 25, 2023.
The City & Crime newspaper added that after the verdict, the young woman who saw her lover in the detention room at the court, asked to talk to him, and indicated that she wanted them to settle.
